Lucille Mayberry Celebrates 100th Birthday
  Dated : 10.06.2010

Decatur, IL - McKinley Court Care Centre would like to recognize Lucille Mayberry, who recently celebrated her 100th birthday.  Lucille joins two other centurions, Jessie Stanberry and Nancy Ryherd, who also reside at McKinley Court Care Centre.  McKinley Court held a party for Lucille, her family and friends on her birthday, Sunday, October 6th.
Lucille was born in Madison county in 1910 and went to school in Owaneco where she met her husband to be, Noah Mayberry.  They were married in 1927.  Noah passed away in 1981.  Lucille lived in Spring Creek Towers in moving into McKinley Court 5 months ago.  In attendance were 44 family members, including some of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even great-great-grandchildren.  The whole family shared stories including her eldest child, son, David Mayberry.  He recalled how his mother would wait up for him at night to come home from one of the jobs he held to help support the family.  All of Lucille's surviving children attended the party.  They all commented that "Mom was always there for us, all of us."
