Decatur, IL - McKinley Court Care Centre would like to introduce our Administrator Tea. It is a weekly event created to provide an open forum for residents to communicate with the administrators.  Families are also welcomed and encouraged to attend.  The "tea" takes place at 10:00am every Friday. With several hot beverages to choose from, as well as cookies, fruit and treats, the atmosphere is very much like that of a cafe, where people can sit and share ideas in a relaxed setting.  The residents are able to express concerns or compliments and help in making decisions for the community at large.  Some of the previous meetings included the residents picking out paint and tiles for the newly remodeled hair salon and choosing the design for this year's Christmas card that will be sent out from McKinley Court.  One resident, Mary Vanorman, expressed her happiness over the weekly teas.  "It is so great that we are involved [in making decisions]".      
     Administrator, Kim Jordan, said "The teas have really worked out well.  It is important that we know what the residents want.  After all, this is their home and they should have a say about what goes on here."
