Decatur, IL - McKinley Court Care Centre

Congratulations to Angela St. Clair, McKinley Court's Employee of the Month.  Angela, a Registered Nurse, has been with McKinley for only a year, but quickly became an integral part of the caregiving team.  Recently, she was credited with saving the life of one of the residents.  Angela recognized the symptoms of a pulmonary embolus (blood clot in the lungs) and immediately called the hospital who arranged for an immediate transfer.  The doctor at the hospital that treated the ill resident said that Angela's quick actions saved their life. Modest as she is caring, Angela simply said of the incident, "This is what nurses are trained to do."
Born in Virginia, Angela's family relocated to the Decatur area where she attended MacArthur High School. Happily married with 8 children, Angela doesn't find herself with a lot of free time, but when she does,  she likes to work out at the gym and play with her dog.  With such a large family and demanding job, it is obvious that Angela is a natural born caregiver.  "I've always liked taking care of people." Angela says enthusiastically. "I love my residents and making sure they are taken care of. Aspen Ridge feels like a second home."
